Paddle beyond Croatia’s familiar coastline
Leave the busy resorts behind and explore Croatia’s northern Adriatic from the water. This eight-day sea kayaking adventure takes you between islands, secluded beaches, sea caves and historic coastal towns.
You will spend six days paddling through the waters around Rab, Krk, Cres, Sv. Grgur, Prvić and Plavnik. The group carries food and camping equipment in the kayaks, giving the guides freedom to adapt the route and choose each night’s landing place.
This is a genuine expedition. Expect active days on the water, simple beach camps, changing conditions and the satisfaction of reaching each destination under your own power.
Dates: September 1–8, 2027
Starting point: Rab Island, Croatia
Trip length: Eight days
Paddling days: Six
Experience level: Beginner to intermediate
Price: $2,325
What makes this trip different
The northern Adriatic receives fewer visitors than Croatia’s better-known southern destinations. Its islands offer a varied paddling landscape of sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, sheltered coves, clear water and old coastal settlements.
Your kayak carries the equipment needed for the journey. That independence allows the group to respond to the weather, explore quieter landing places and camp close to the water.
Between paddling sections, there will be opportunities to swim, snorkel, walk, explore towns and learn about the islands. The pace will reflect the conditions and the abilities of the group.

– Camping in simple coastal settings
– Sharing responsibility within a small group
– Following safety instructions from the guides
– Accepting changes caused by weather and sea conditions
Experienced paddlers may have opportunities to refine their technique or explore farther once camp has been established.
