Description

Celebrate the Summer Solstice in Sweden

Spend four days and three nights celebrating the Summer Solstice in the forests of southern Sweden. This special Midsummer retreat combines yoga, meditation, wild swimming, nourishing food and plenty of time to slow down beside the lake.

The retreat takes place from Thursday, June 17 to Sunday, June 20, 2027, at an intimate yoga center surrounded by pine forest, approximately two hours west of Stockholm.

Yoga and Meditation

Your stay includes six yoga classes lasting between 60 and 90 minutes. Practices may include vinyasa, yin and yoga nidra, alongside guided morning meditation.

The light-filled yoga shala overlooks the lake and provides a peaceful setting for both energizing and restorative practices. Sessions welcome different levels of experience, and participation is optional.

Jenny Clark will lead the yoga program. Jenny is the founder of The Wild Times and an experienced yoga teacher, paddleboard instructor and retreat leader.

A Swedish Midsummer Celebration

This departure falls over Midsummer, one of Sweden’s most treasured seasonal celebrations. The retreat will mark the occasion in traditional Swedish style, bringing a festive element to the restorative weekend.

The program may also include optional sound baths, creative sessions and other guest-led workshops. Exact activities can change depending on the facilitators and conditions during the retreat.

Lake Swimming and Floating Sauna

The retreat center sits beside a private forest lake where you can swim, paddleboard or take out a canoe. A floating wood-fired sauna offers the perfect place to warm up after a dip.

Free time is built into the schedule, giving you space to walk through the forest, sit by the water, read, journal or rest. Activities are encouraged but never compulsory.

The Retreat Setting

The venue is home to a small yoga community with a strong commitment to sustainability and communal living. Its facilities include two yoga shalas, a dining room, a cozy library, lakeside decking and a floating sauna.

Accommodation is simple and comfortable, with shared twin and triple rooms, private rooms and heated bell tents beside the lake. Bathrooms and showers are shared. Bell-tent guests use the facilities in the main accommodation building.

Plant-Based Food and Swedish Fika

All meals, snacks and hot drinks are included. The kitchen serves wholesome vegetarian and vegan food made primarily with organic ingredients. Dietary requirements can usually be accommodated when provided in advance.

You will also be welcomed with fika, the Swedish tradition of pausing for tea or coffee and something sweet.

This is an alcohol-free retreat.

Who Is This Retreat For?

This retreat is suitable for anyone looking for rest, movement and time in nature. You do not need to be an experienced yogi, although completing a few yoga classes before attending will help you feel comfortable with the practices.

The group is expected to include up to 28 guests, with most Sweden retreats welcoming approximately 18 to 25 people.

What to Bring
